Market Cancellation's due to Coronavirus!

Updated: Aug 20, 2020

Due to the Victorian Government State of Emergency the Mornington Peninsula Shire has made the decision to cancel all events held on Shire Land until April 13.

Unfortunately this means that we have had to postpone the Soul Night Market at the Peninsula Community Theatre on Friday April 3 and reschedule it to Friday June 5. The much anticipated Mt Martha South Beach Market has also been postponed on Easter Monday April 13 and we are currently working on a new date for this market and will update shortly.

All stallholders booked in for these markets will be notified individually by email soon about these markets and also a plan to assist them and to try and help them through this worrying time.

As soon as this once in a lifetime situation has leveled out and we are able to operate markets again we will be back in full operation and will be adding another market to help increase cashflow for our much valued stallholders.

Please see below the statement from the Mornington Peninsula Shire in regards to the cancellation of events. "Following the declaration by the Victorian Government of a State of Emergency in response to Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic the Mornington Peninsula Shire has made a number of decisions to ensure the safety of our community.

To protect our community, particularly those who are more vulnerable, and do our part to flatten the curve of this pandemic, we are postponing, cancelling or modifying delivery of non-essential services, programs, events and activities.

As a result, we regret to advise all events and activities proposed to be held on Council land between 16 March to 13 April 2020 are either postponed or cancelled. "
