  • Soul Night Market just what the Peninsula Needs

The 1st Soul Night Market on Friday July 26 is just what the Mornington Peninsula needed, was the feedback from both stallholders and public alike as the Peninsula Community Theatre in Mornington hosted the Foodie/Makers Market. Market Organizers Unrivalled Events, who also run the hugely popular Mt Martha South Beach Market, where delighted with the 1st event and said it will only get bigger and better "We are really pleased that the vision we had for the market came through which was people socialising, eating, drinking and shopping as an alternative Friday Night Out. I think we brought a mini Night Market from the City vibe down to the Peninsula which was our aim. The weather was inclement all night but despite showers people still showed up and most stayed outside on the Food Lawn and commented on what a great atmosphere it was and just what was needed on the Peninsula, with new food vendors not seen down here before " The predominately makers market not only had stalls, food and drink but also live soul inspired music and this will be the theme of the markets as they go forward. "With a few tweaks here and there this will go on to be a great night out on the Peninsula enjoyed by thousands of locals and visitors " said Unrivalled Events boss Paul Harvey "And we plan to expand to other areas of Melbourne as time goes on so stay tuned." The Soul Night Market Mornington will now become a Bi Monthly market at the Peninsula Community Theatre with the next one set down for Friday October 11 from 5pm to 9pm. During the colder months it will be predominately indoors but as the weather gets better it will transfer also to other areas of the complex giving more stallholders an opportunity. Another venue will be announced shortly for the Summer Months. Stay tuned to the social media channels for more information on new dates

  • Mt Martha South Beach Market Another Hit.

The Mt Martha South Beach Market is quickly establishing itself as one of the best markets going around, for both patrons and stallholders. Over 8,000 people attended the Winter Warmer Market on Sunday July 7 and where greeted by 80 excited stallholders and fine weather that held out all day. Patrons described it as 'best market on the Peninsula in years' and stallholders reported 'best ever' or 'great Christmas like sales', with some food vendors selling out of stock. Melbourne's Makers have a hard time over winter and Unrivalled Events owner Paul Harvey is delighted it helped them out "Winter is traditionally tough for stallholders with few quality markets to help ends meet, so I'm delighted that Mt Martha again came up trumps for them. Sometimes big crowds don't translate into big sales for the stallholders, but Mt Martha does that and I'm very proud. We had 30% of stallholders from Mt Martha and all that money generated goes back into the local economy plus retailers in the village reported a huge upturn in trade because of the market which is also great to hear." Once again the atmosphere was amazing, patrons catching up with friends & family and not just staying a few minutes, but a few hours for a market that has a real community village vibe and the fact that once again Mt Martha locals came with their dogs only added to the day as Paul Harvey went on to say "Dogs are an integral part of most people's families especially here in Mt Martha, so its great to see so many attend and although some patrons may not agree with me, dogs provide a communication point for people to make new friends or just be social and that along with the view is why Mt Martha is so special." The next Mt Martha South Beach Market is set down for AFL Grand Final Eve on Friday September 27 from 10am til 3pm and is sure to be another great 'event' for Mt Martha.

Unrivalled Events owner Paul Harvey said "Soul aims to fuse shopping, eating & drinking together with live music, creating an event, not just another market.
