- Unrivalled Events and Canopy Outdoor Partner
Unrivalled Events are delighted to announce a partnership with leading Marquee Supply Company, Canopy Outdoor, that will provide huge benefits to all of Unrivalled Events Market Stallholders. Speaking about the partnership, Unrivalled Events Owner Paul Harvey said "We are delighted to partner with Canopy Outdoor as our Official Supply Partner and really hope our stallholders take advantage of the great offers we have made available for them. At markets we do see alot of the cheaper Bunnings Gazebos & BCF Camping Marquee's and whilst they are acceptable in light winds, as soon as winds get up to 20kmh and above, they start to move considerably and alot of them actually buckle and break due to the poor cheap frame connectors and powder coated steel legs. We needed a cost effective solution for our stallholders and Canopy Outdoor's entry level 30 series marquee is perfect, a well built strong aluminum frame and connectors. Their is no greater stress for stallholders than holding onto the middle of their marquee's in wind gusts with the fear that their marquee is going to bend and break. We want to take that stress away and for under $300 for us it is a must investment for all of our stallholders. The other great advantage of Canopy Outdoor is their solid and practical 15kg leg weights. Consisting of 2 x 7.5kg cast irons weights on each leg they are alot easier to lift for all our stallholders (the majority whom are females) and they can be purchased for under $40 a set. We see alot of stallholders using the Bunnings Base Pods which are only 10kg in weight and also very hard to carry. Alot of our venues are in spectacular, but sometimes exposed to the elements, venues and a strong marquee and weight system is essential and one that we will insisting on moving forward, for the safety of our stallholders and shoppers." Above: Unrivalled Events Official HQ Marquee from Preferred Supplier Canopy Outdoor Canopy Outdoor Owner Alex Cimpoes who manufacturer the Marquee's said "We're excited to work with Paul and the team at Unrivalled Events to help everyone at their markets to protect themselves and their stock from the elements - and most importantly represent themselves to a high standard to help grow their businesses." The Unrivalled Events and Canopy Outdoor's Partnership will allow Registered Unrivalled Events Stallholders the opportunity to purchase Marquee's, both Plain and Branded, plus Leg Weights with a 20% discount for less than $450 plus Canopy Outdoor will also be offering a Payment Plan to allow stallholders to pay off in 4 x Instalaments. To find out more about the offers please visit the Unrivalled Events newly created Stallholders Tips Page which lists the options available.

- Soul Night Market Brighton Delayed Until 2021
The highly successful Soul Night Market Brighton, has been delayed to early 2021, due to a decision by Bayside Council to only allow events that have 100% stallholders from the Bayside Municipality during December. The Bayside Council are spending alot of money and resource to reactivate the local shopping areas and have put a hold on opproving events with stallholders from outside the Council Area until early 2021. Unrivalled Events owner Paul Harvey is obviously disappointed, but understanding with the decision "It was a suprise when we where asked to only have 100% stallholders from the Bayside Council area. Whilst we encourage local stallholders and have around 30% we cannot run our high quality market with 100% local stallholders, as there just arent enough in the categories for our market. So we have to hold off with the Night Market until early 2021 at this stage. Alot will depend also, on what COVID Normal will look like and if density limits will still be in place, as Green Point has its challenges, with its size and density limits but we expect this to be cleared up in the Premier's announcement in early December" We know this will be disappointing for Bayside locals and our stallholders, who really took the market to their hearts earlier this year and we know that the market is also vital for community spirit and belonging so we will endeavour to start as soon as practically possible. At this stage the Friday December 4 market is cancelled and a decsion on the Friday January 8 market will be made after the COVID Normal announcement in early December. We will update as soon as we are clear to stage markets at the venue again.
- Mt Martha South Beach Market now ALL TICKET
Due to COVID 19 restrictions on density numbers allowed at markets, Unrivalled Events have made the decision to make the two remaining Mt Martha South Beach Markets for 2020 all ticket markets. The 1st market back after Lockdown has been set down for Melbourne Cup Day ,Tuesday November 3 from 9am until 2pm which will still give people time to get home for the big race at 3pm. Unrivalled Events boss Paul Harvey explained the decision to make the market all ticket "We have a very small & spectacular venue at Mt Martha and pre covid we have had large crowds, as the market has built up a great reputation since its launch. With density limits in place due to COVID restrictions we didn't feel as though we could safely accommodate shoppers on the day and stick to the density limits without making the market all ticket. With only 300 tickets available (1500 in total) in hourly blocks we know alot of people will be disappointed to miss out on there market but we need to be safe for ourselves as organisors and also for our shoppers and our stallholders when running markets during this time." There are several changes to how the market looks and runs which are detailed below - The only way to attend the market on the day is to register for a Free Ticket via the EventBrite website. - You can only register for a maximum of 6 tickets and for contact tracing we need the name, email address and suburb of each shopper. You must print off your ticket to gain admittance. - There will be a dedicated entry and exit point for the market. This is available on the website here - 300 tickets are available per hour (9am, 10am, 11am, Noon, 1pm) which is 1500 tickets in total. Your tickets allows you entry between the alloted time and we ask shoppers to stay in the stall area for 1 hour. - The stall layout will now flow as a one way system. - Takeaway Food and Drink (no alcohol) will be available on the day, but no chairs and tables will be in the stall area, but shoppers are welcome to sit on the Hill (socially distanced) and enjoy the view. - Masks need to be worn on the day as per state government regulations but do not need to be worn when eating and drinking. - The 25km limit is expected to lifted by the date of the market, but if it is not then the shoppers ticket will be cancelled unfortunately. - If a shopper is feeling unwell or cannot attend the market then please contact paul@unrivalledevents.com.au so we can release your ticket to the waitlist. - Tickets will go on sale from Tuesday October 19 at 9am - The Market on Saturday December 12 will also be All Ticket and tickets will be released on Friday December 6 at 9am For more information on the market or to book please visit www.mtmarthasouthbeachmarket.com.au

- The 5ifth Makers Market launches in Chelsea
Unrivalled Events have added another Market brand to there offering, by creating The 5ifth (5th) Saturday Market, which will be staged on a month with Five Saturday's in them and it will be held at a great family venue in Melbourne's South East, Bicentennial Park in Chelsea. Unrivalled Events boss Paul Harvey said " We have listened to our stallholders, as most markets are staged monthly on a set weekend, so most struggle to fill up the 5th weekend with a booking. Not anymore. The 5ifth Saturday Market will fill that void. It seems to have worked as the 1st two market's are near enough sold out with stallholders. We are really pleased to have secured the Park in Chelsea as it doesn't currently have it's own Makers Market and we feel it will be embraced by the locals. " The 1st Market will be held on Saturday November 30 from 10am til 3pm on the Reserve opposite one of Australia's Best Children's Playground in Bicentennial Park. It should make a great family day out for locals and visitors with 150 stalls of food & drink plus high quality Melbourne Makers with the stalls winding their way around the walking track and then offering what will be known as 'Chill Hill' to sit down and relax. To find out more about the market and the other dates in February and May or if you want to get one of the last stalls available go to https://www.unrivalledevents.com.au/the-5th-saturday-market
- Market Cancellation's due to Coronavirus!
Due to the Victorian Government State of Emergency the Mornington Peninsula Shire has made the decision to cancel all events held on Shire Land until April 13. Unfortunately this means that we have had to postpone the Soul Night Market at the Peninsula Community Theatre on Friday April 3 and reschedule it to Friday June 5. The much anticipated Mt Martha South Beach Market has also been postponed on Easter Monday April 13 and we are currently working on a new date for this market and will update shortly. All stallholders booked in for these markets will be notified individually by email soon about these markets and also a plan to assist them and to try and help them through this worrying time. As soon as this once in a lifetime situation has leveled out and we are able to operate markets again we will be back in full operation and will be adding another market to help increase cashflow for our much valued stallholders. Please see below the statement from the Mornington Peninsula Shire in regards to the cancellation of events. "Following the declaration by the Victorian Government of a State of Emergency in response to Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic the Mornington Peninsula Shire has made a number of decisions to ensure the safety of our community. To protect our community, particularly those who are more vulnerable, and do our part to flatten the curve of this pandemic, we are postponing, cancelling or modifying delivery of non-essential services, programs, events and activities. As a result, we regret to advise all events and activities proposed to be held on Council land between 16 March to 13 April 2020 are either postponed or cancelled. "
- Unrivalled Events Turn 1 Year Old
Mt Martha based Event Management business Unrivalled Events turns 1 on April 22 and it has been a whirlwind 12 months (apart from the last month in which everything has come to a grinding halt due to the Coronavirus) with Four High Quality Boutique Markets created in Melbourne. Unrivalled Events owner Paul Harvey, an experienced Event Manager, is delighted at how the 1st year has gone "Unrivalled mission was all about doing things a little different in the market industry and upping the professionalism. We create our markets from a stallholder's point of view, as my partner is a stallholder, plus we offer a real personalised professional service to them. Our locations are all about the spectacular, either in the views they offer or the style of venue we operate in. The atmosphere at our markets are lively and have a lovely community vibe about them providing locals with great locations to catch up with family and friends. Finally, our exclusivity clauses at the majority of our markets mean that our stallholders can sustain a living from their passion. We love what we do and can't wait to progress even further in 2020 and beyond, once we get the C Virus out the way." The 1st Market created was in their home village of Mt Martha and since then the Mt Martha South Beach Market has gone on to be regarded as one the best & most spectacular boutique markets in Melbourne. It has a real special meaning to the organisers, with its real community vibe and predominately local stallholders. It is staged four times a year at Easter, in winter, AFL Grand Final Eve and Summer and has approximately 60 makers stalls. The next creation was Soul Night Market, which aimed to take the festive food type vibe of the City Night Markets to Melbourne Suburbs and it is staged bi monthly in Mornington at the Peninsula Community Theatre and also over Summer, at another stunning location, Green Point Reserve in Brighton Beach which had huge crowds flock to the venue by the sea. Finally, The 5ifth Market filled a gap in stallholders market calendar with it being staged on the 5th Saturday of the month. This has gone on to be Unrivalled Largest Market, with over 120 stallholders, at the picturesque Bicentennial Park in Chelsea.
